NYC crime: Investigation underway after man stabbed, killed close to Penn Station

MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) — Police are investigating after a person was fatally stabbed close to Penn Station on Thursday night.

The incident was reported close to West thirty third Street and seventh Avenue round 6 p.m.

The 36-year-old sufferer approached MTA police after being stabbed within the chest.

MTA police requested an ambulance and transported him to Bellevue Hospital the place he was later pronounced useless.

The MTA stated the incident occurred on the road and never within the transit system.

Police say it seems the sufferer was homeless and sources say a dispute led to the stabbing.

It is unknown what the dispute was about.

Just final weekend, there was a lethal stabbing on a 2 practice close to Penn Station. Police are nonetheless trying to find that suspect.

A vendor throughout the road says seventh Avenue, as Penn Station undergoes its renovation, appeared extra harmful throughout the top of the pandemic.

He stated within the final couple of months it is truly appeared a bit safer.

“The cops are like staying here 24/7, they take most of them away from here and they get arrested, but it was like, really hot spot for drug dealers,” vendor Samy Emech stated.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
